The problem with trying to find advice online regarding casinos, bookmakers and gambling is that it’s like drinking from a fire hose. Half of the advice is marketing material and another half is completly out of date.
So over the last couple of months, I have teamed up with a couple of friends in the industry to curate the BEST of the BEST for every single need you’ll have. This has taken a monumental amount of time and research. Enjoy!
There is so much in here covering so many topics it would impossible to take it all in in one go. I suggest bookmarking this page and dipping in when and where you need to.
Gambling and online gamming is highly regulated. Which may seem like a burden but is actually a good thing. It gives recourse to players if they run into any probems, and added trust for operators.
The Gambling Commision – The UK’s regulatory body overseeing or gambling and gamming operations in the UK.
Malta Gamming Authority – Malta has the more gamming operators registered in it than any other territory in Europe.
Problem gambling and addiction is one of the issues in gamming. But the industry is getting better and better at helping and recognising it. And there are more and more charities and organisations out there to help. If you think you have a problem, get help!
What Is Problem Gambling? – How to recognise the difference between recreational and problem gambling.
Gamcare – And independant UK charity set up to help problem gamblers. There is also a helpline at 0808 8020 133.
National Council of Problem Gambling – USA based advocacy group for problem gamblers and organistion to promote responsible gambling. Lots of support and a 24-hour helpline.
Gamblers Anonymous – Offers a 12-step support program for people with gambling problems.
Many people choose to use an E-Wallet to help seperate their gamming from their normal expenses. Also some banks don’t look kindly on gambling so seperating your betting where they can’t see it can help with your bank’s profile of you.
Skrill – My favourite and has been around for ages. Beware that some bonuses exclude deposits from Skrill.
Neteller – Skrill’s biggest competitor. If you are a serious gambler you will probably have both.
Coinbase – If you’re into your privacy then gambling with bitcoin could be the way forward. Coinbase is my choice of bitcoin wallet and for buying and selling bitcoin.
Ladbrokes/Coral – After their merger Ladbrokes is now the largest bookie in the world.
William Hill – The second biggest in the UK.
Betfair – The largest betting exchange in the world. My personal favourite.
